In 2009, One Degree Solar was founded to provide lighting and communication to healthcare workers in rural Liberia in order to improve chances of survival during childbirth and to enable nurses to call for help during emergencies. Since that time, we have received overwhelming interest and demand for our products, from small businesses, students, families, and everyone in between. While our roots in community development, communication, an technology remain the same, we have expanded to deliver high-quality, durable, and affordable solutions that can be used by anyone living with limited access to electricity. With our local partners, we can help improve and connect millions of lives across geographies, income levels, and languages.
